Skelalig Hotel Dingle Wedding - Outdoor Bay Ceremonies in Kerry

A Skellig Hotel Wedding Full of Heart, Laughter & Kerry Magic

Anyone who knows Dingle knows this — the second you arrive, you feel it. That mix of rugged coastline, winding roads, fishing boats, music drifting out of pubs, and the wild Atlantic stretching forever.

For Ciara and Podge, Dingle wasn’t just a wedding location. It was their place — full of meaning, connection, friends, memories, and joy. And Skellig Hotel gave them the perfect backdrop for the relaxed, fun-filled wedding they always wanted.

Their day was pure soundness, pure heart, and pure Kerry craic.

Morning Preparations at the Skellig

Both Ciara and Podge got ready at the Skellig Hotel, upstairs in rooms that overlook the water. Beautiful soft window light — a dream for morning photos. Ciara’s morning was calm, warm, and full of laughter. Podge’s was… Podge’s.The lads suited up, had the banter going, and after a few photos, we all headed to town.

A Quick Trip Into Dingle – Pints at Paddy Bawn’s

Before the ceremony, Podge and the boys walked into Dingle town for a pint in Paddy Bawn Brosnan’s pub — a local institution.

  • A tradition for the lads

  • A warm-up for the day.

  • And a lovely slice of “real Dingle”

An Outdoor Ceremony Beside Dingle Bay

Back at the Skellig, everything was set for their outdoor ceremony — a stunning setup right beside the water.

One of the most memorable parts?

  • They hid the wedding ring under a guest’s chair.

  • No one knew who had it.

  • Everyone had to check.

  • And the moment he lifted his seat and found it — the place erupted with laughter.

No one knew who had it.

Everyone had to check.

And the moment a man lifted his seat and found it — the place erupted with laughter.

It was them.

Their style.

Their humour.

Their connection.

A Wave of Love – The Line of Welcomers

After the ceremony, Ciara & Podge walked a long line of family and friends — hugs, squeezes, tears, roars of laughter.

Relaxed Kerry Portraits by the Bay

Ciara & Podge didn’t want staged, stiff portraits.

They wanted:

natural

real

relaxed

a sense of place

So we simply walked down towards the bay.

Five minutes.

A gentle breeze.

A small pocket of quiet before the celebrations continued.

And that’s all it needed. The type of greetings only an Irish coastal wedding can produce.

The Music – Ryan Parsons on Fiddle

Entertainment for the drinks reception was provided by the incredible Ryan Parsons, a gifted fiddle player and well-known traditional musician.

Reception, Dancing & Full Celebration

After portraits, everyone gathered inside the Skellig for dinner, speeches, and dancing.

This is where the Skellig shines:

big bright room

great acoustics

incredible atmosphere

views right out to the water

staff who know weddings inside out.

Ciara & Podge’s crowd brought the energy — dancing, singing, celebrating.

The kind of night that makes Dingle famous.
