Morning in Tramore: Calm Before the Celebration
Laura began her wedding morning at home in Tramore, Waterford – a relaxed start surrounded by family, friends, and her dog Roxy, who was never far away. The atmosphere was full of excitement and calm at the same time. As always, I captured the little things that tell the story – the details, the laughter, and that quiet focus that happens before every great day.
Arriving at Mountain View Hotel, Kilkenny
The drive from Waterford to Kilkenny set the tone perfectly. Even with the rain, Mountain View looked incredible – the rolling fields, the long driveway, and the welcoming sight of the barn ready for the day ahead. The moment I stepped out of the car, I knew we were in for something special.

The Ceremony in the Barn
Laura and Ian’s ceremony took place inside the barn, which was beautifully styled for the day. Celebrant Jessica Statham led the ceremony with warmth and personality, while Roxy watched proudly from the front – she’d been part of the morning and wasn’t missing a second.
The barn’s light, even on a rainy day, worked beautifully for photography. It’s a venue that photographs so well, whether it’s sunny or stormy.
Portraits Indoors: Rain Never Stops Us
The rain didn’t let up, but that didn’t matter. We stayed indoors and made use of the barn’s textures, lighting, and layout. In just a few minutes, we got some really stylish, relaxed portraits – a blend of editorial and documentary style.
One of my favourite photographs from the day was Laura’s dad writing his speech in the car – he thought no one had noticed him, but I caught it, and it’s one of those real, funny moments that makes a story come alive.

Family, Food & Togetherness
One of the most special parts of the day was the family-made wedding cake. Everyone helped decorate it after the ceremony, adding flowers and details together – a genuine moment of teamwork and love that summed up who Laura and Ian are.
Dinner was held in the Mountain View marquee, where the food was five-star as always. The in-house chefs are known for their creative menus and local ingredients – it’s dining that feels both elegant and relaxed, which suits the venue perfectly.
Reception & Celebration
Laura and Ian made their grand entrance into the marquee, greeting friends and family at the tables with huge smiles. The room was alive with laughter and energy – every guest up, chatting, and ready to celebrate.
Later, the dance floor filled quickly, and the band kept it going late into the night. It was one of those weddings where even the rain outside added to the mood – warm, joyful, and unforgettable.
Words from Laura & Ian
“From our first meeting to the final photographs, Keith was incredible. He captured everything naturally and made the day feel effortless. We laughed the whole time — the photos are beyond what we imagined.”
